30 day shred, P90X, or insanity

So I didn't watch Glee tonight. I didn't even think about the fact that tonight was a LOST night... so obviously that takes priority. I'll be sure to catch up on Glee tomorrow.

And in other news...

I am now officially down 16.5 lbs. Yes, that's right. I'm fading away... and I like it. Brittany from Unexpected Surprises is doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and I'm starting to become inspired. I spent about a half an hour looking on youtube about it, and there are a ton of people who've had success. I figure, it's something I can do while Wyatt is napping because it's not like I can leave the house and go to the gym and just leave him to sleep. And bringing him to the gym is out of the question because he's proven that he cannot handle just sitting there. 15 minutes in and he's all crazy. SO, that being said, I will try my hand at work out videos. My husband wants to do Insanity or P90X, but I think that's a little TOO intense for me. Maybe I can work my way up? All I know is that I want to lose about 20 more pounds. I think I'll be happy with that.

And for the record, I have 10 more pounds to lose to be at my pre-baby weight. But I'd like to lose an additional 10 to be back at where I was when I was at my peak on weight watchers 2 years ago. Man was I fit. But that means I have to work out... GOD GROSS.

So last night Wyatt went to bed at 6pm! I know right?! I didn't know if I should wake him or not, so I sorta just let him sleep. He woke up around midnight, FULLY AWAKE. Why did he do that?! So I had to tire him out, which consisted of me just laying there like a blob watching my son talk to himself. He tried to pull the same thing off today, but I learned my lesson. I kept him awake till about 8, and then I went ahead and laid him down. I don't get it. He get's lots of naps (even though he always fights them). I'm not sure what I can do to keep him from being so exhausted in the evenings.

Here is the little monkey wide awake, in the middle of the night.


  1. A ton of people I read have done the Shred and love it. I think it really is a rigorous workout.

    Maybe Wyatt is having a growing spurt... but I would definitely keep him awake longer in the evening!

  2. 30 day shred is INCREDIBLE! I actually enjoy doing it these days.. but I am worried!!!! about level 2! (I'll let you know how it goes)

    I am counting calories as well.. and I can already see a difference. I'm not weighing myself. .because I dont want to get obsessed.. but I know that I am losing weight. I just feel better about myself. ya know?

    I hope you do the shred! We can give eachother some encouragement!!!

  3. I've seen the info's for insanity..Kind of want to try it. It seems like there is a lot of jumping around. I feel like such a blob. Every time I work out I seem to injure myself. Last week I went on a 5 mile walk with Maggie and the arch in my left foot STILL hurts!
