CIO, I LOVE YOU

CH-CH-CHECK IT OUT!

COULD THIS POSSIBLY WORK?! This is the second time I've tried the CIO method today and I have to admit the second time around has been a lot easier. Yes, he did cry, but the tone was totally different. It wasn't like a screaming banshee and more like just upset crying. I didn't even bother checking on him this time because he wasn't completely losing it. Anyway, I just went in to check on him and he's sleeping like this. I'm too scared to move him.

  1. i'm a total believer in the CIO method.
i don't have children of my own yet, but i think sometimes, it's just what you gotta do.
i know that some parents are relcutant, because they think it's mean or neglectful, but i totally disagree.
baby just has to learn to cope on his own a little.
    yay, wyatt! :)

  2. So, I let Ruari cry a bit... gave her the pacifier and she just slept 4 hours! She never does that! I hope he gets a good nap for you.

  3. I had no idea that there was actual "method" names for parenting. I just always thought, the cry-it-out or check-on-em.

  4. awww, good job mama! just stick with it! and if hes not ready, theres just no way around it. what ive learned with my oldest is that you simply cant force them to do things before they are ready. (i got this from trying to get him to crawl, give up pacis, give up co sleeping and potty training.) if it doesnt stick, take time off and try again!

  5. I did CIO on the first. The second one didn't even need it! Good luck! And I love the little positions they fall asleep in. How can that even be close to comfortable?!

  6. i forgot to tell you, that ever since like 6 months..starting around 7:50 or 8 everynight..thats when we start bathtime..and then play for about 30 minutes until i know he's good and tired. camdyn literally sleeps 12 hours every single day..and has been doing that since 9 months or so. we started a strict schedule pretty early on and its worked wonders. but i have a feeling the next kid (if we do have another) will be horrible..and not sleep at all.
