Flashback Friday

I was inspired by Mrs. Bettie Rocker's post today about her father. Her father has passed away and was laid to rest in Arlington Cemetery, so I feel like we're kindred spirits (since that's where my Dad is too).

(Me and Dad, probably around 1986)

(I'm probably around 2 here, so maybe 1988)

(AH! I'm probably 9?)

(HOLY AWKWARD FAMILY PHOTO! Bad tweeze job and a perm. Oh my.)

(Me and Dad at the Justice of the Peace, 2004)

I miss you Dad.

  1. I havent been able to visit Arlington in years. If you go, look him up and say hi for me since they are both in the columbariums.

  2. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my dad when I was 11 years old. It's never easy to lose a parent.

  9. You have your dad's eyes I think and for sure Wyatt has your dad's eyes. Beautiful eyes.

You lost him so recently. Oh my dear *BIG HUGS*

I lost my dad in 2006 to lung and brain cancer. I still cannot believe he is gone. I'd give anything to pick up the phone and just talk to him.
