  1. its so funny how serious everyone was back then! i am OBSESSED with looking at old pictures. im glad i have so many from my family too. but i'll look at anyones really.

short story. i worked at kinkos for like four years and i would get in trouble all the time for taking too much time with one customer because people were always bringing in photos like this to copy and i would just sit and listen to all the stories and look at all the pictures. i loved it!

  5. These shots are so cool - I love old pictures. I need to go through my grandmothers. I wonder if I can convince her to give me her photographs as part of her will...I hate to think like that, but I think I could appreciate those more than anyone.

  7. The pictures you have of them from the 70s is how I always think of them because this is what they looked like through most of my childhood. Isn't it crazy to think that GGM immigrated after both grandpa and Aunt Joann were born?

  9. Awesome! I love old pictures!
And I have my great-grandma's naturalization papers (she was from Sweden). She's the only one who immigrated recently and legally enough to have such things (her husband, from Norway, was an illegal. Oh my! ;p)
