I have so many new readers! This is so awesome! I just want to take a moment to answer some questions that I've been getting recently. I suck at replying back to people because I'm usually running around chasing my 16 month old, so I thought I'd just give everyone the low down right now!
1. ANY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS?
Sure! I did it the old fashion way and just cut out bad foods. I don't eat anything out of a box and I avoid all processed sugars. I pretty much eat vegetables, meat, and fruit and occasionally bread. I also drink whole milk but I cut out cheese. I'm not super skinny or anything, but I have maintained my weight of 135 (I'm 5'5'' for those of you that are interested for reference) for the past 3 months doing these things. I don't work out but I'm going to start once we buy a treadmill (which we plan on doing once we move into our new house).
2. WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE AND WHAT LENS? DO YOU HAVE A REMOTE?
I have a canon t1i dslr and a 50 mm f/1.8 lens. I also have a telephoto lens that I haven't touched in like 8 months. I just use my 50 mm for right now. I DO HAVE A REMOTE! And so, now my pictures have a sense of lame to them. I'm a loser posing by myself with my camera.
3. HOW DID YOU GET WYATT TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT?
Well, I did the CIO method. But I found for me, it was easier to tackle this obstacle if I was done weaning him, which I did at 12 months. To wean him I stopped nursing him during the day and only did it at night, and then I stopped the night time nursings. When I did CIO, I felt that Wyatt was ready and was just waking up out of habit. I would walk around the room holding him (still do this) until he gets really good and sleepy. Then I lay him down. If he starts crying, I'll rub his head a few minutes but never longer than that. Then I walk out of the room and do not return for 30 minutes. I chose 30 (and not 15 like a lot of people suggest) because I felt like he could handle it. I noticed that when I was going in after a few minutes that it would just add fuel to the fire and it would upset him even more. Want to know something though? Wyatt has never cried longer than TWENTY minutes! So this really worked for me. Now if Wyatt wakes up in the middle of the night, I'd do the same and not go to him until 30 minutes have passed, which it never does. :)
4. WHAT PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?
Photoshop elements 7 and Photoshop CS5 and a TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON of actions from everywhere. Check out Coffee Shop Blog, Paint the Moon, and Florabella for cool actions. Also, I'm a huge fan of noiseware.
5. DOES MY HUSBAND EAT "CLEAN"?
6. WHAT IS A TYPICAL CLEAN EATING DAY LIKE FOR YOU?
Actually, it's really simple and some may say boring? I guess it's the equivalent of someone just eating a lean cuisine because they don't feel like cooking. I make lots of quick salads and sandwiches with ezekiel bread. I eat random fruits all day, or slice up a tomato. I'll cook up some chicken or steak and just eat that with seasonings. And I drink lots of coffee with whole milk. It's all really simple. I can't really say more on that because I eat lite all day. I don't count calories though, so maybe that's why it's easier/random? But, let it be known, I do sometimes go crazy and eat out. I just don't do it often so that it'll be special and I'm more than likely not going to gain from it.
7. HOW DID YOU KNOW YOUR HUSBAND IS THE ONE? WHAT AGE DID YOU START DATING? AND IS THIS HOW YOU PICTURED YOUR LIFE GOING?
Well, we started dating in 10th grade and like most teenagers, we thought we had a special love that no one could possibly understand and the only logical thing would be to get married. So as soon as we graduated high school we went to the justice of the peace with our family there to witness and got hitched! So totally insane! I don't know if I'd let my son do that (like I really would have a choice I guess?). I guess I knew he was the one because he was the funniest guy ever and pretty much worshiped me? Terrible, I know. But he really was so sweet and special to me and made me feel amazing, and I wanted to be the same for him. So that's how I knew...
I would have never been able to predict that we would be HERE. I like HERE, but it's just so crazy. Who can imagine how they'd be in the future at the age of 16 anyway? I'm sure life is more shocking for my husband. A former stoner skate boarder who probably wouldn't have even graduated high school if it wasn't for me kicking his ass (sorry, maybe arrogant to say but it's true, he'll tell you that himself). And now he's in the Air Force being a Papa to a little boy. I, myself have always had dreams, but they've never really felt real to me. I figured I'd just go with "it", and I have. I'm still not sure what I want to be, but I'm okay with my life right now.
8. WILL WE BE HAVING ANY MORE KIDS?
Good question. Right now, no. We like just having Wyatt and cherishing him. I want more, Josh doesn't. So currently we're there.
