Comfort Food

I'm really not a sweets and candy kinda gal (uh, unless it's run raisin hagen daz). If I want comfort food, it's a meat and potatoes and a whole lot of it...

So last nights dinner was all about cooking with LOVE! I made baked potatoes with chili for my main squeeze.

If you're curious as to how I prepared/cooked all of this- here's the recipe. I don't really mean to insult anyone's intelligence. I realize this is the EASIEST food to cook and I'm just telling you the deets for shits and giggles.

Alton Brown's Baked potatoes-
Stab the heck out of your potato. Rub potato with olive oil and sprinkle kosher salt all over the outside. Stick it in the oven (skip the aluminum foil and baking sheet) at 400 degrees for about an hour. When it's done you should be able to pop it like a... er... zit? The olive oil and salt makes the skin kinda crunchy and salty and delicious. No more rubbery potatoes! My step mom just told me about this recipe the other day and I swear I'll never wrap my potatoes in aluminum foil again!

1lb of lean ground beef
1 large can of kidney beans
1 regular can of navy beans
1 large can of tomato sauce
1 small can of chilis
chili seasoning 

Cook your ground beef, then add tomato sauce and chili seasoning. Add in beans and chilis and you're good to go. We like our chili thick and hearty and as veggie-less as possible. Just sayin'...

WHAT A GOOD MEAL!!!!!!! Sometimes you just gotta stuff your face with beans.
