Anyway, so I went to ANOTHER mini farmers market that's near my house. It's an actual business that sells their crops pretty much, and it's really fresh and awesome.
I got all of this (minus a carton of eggs not pictured) for 21 bucks. Is that a deal? 'Cause I honestly don't know. I'm trying to figure out if it's cheaper to shop at farmers markets as opposed to grocery stores. I know everyone is hurting for money so I'm wondering if these small businesses are trying to keep up. What do you guys think? Is this worth 21 dollars (like I said, I also got a carton of eggs).
-5 golden delicious apples
-bundle of collard greens
-4 ears of corn
-3 sweet potatoes
-1 dozen eggs
I hope to juice a lot of it. I'm probably not going to juice the collard greens though. I'm using it to replace lettuce in general. I had a taco salad (minus the taco) with collard greens instead of lettuce yesterday night. Honestly, I really like the taste of it. I doubt I'll be eating lettuce ever again.
And, I thought it would be really interesting to show some of you how far I've come...
OLD SCHOOL ME.
(For reference - I'm about 5'5'' and a half and I used to weigh around 185lbs. These were all shot a few months after Wyatt was born.) Look at those big old nursing boobies. :)
And me today... (or yesterday rather)... (I'm about 140-145lbs up 5-10lbs from my lowest weight, but I'm focusing more on fitness than crazy dieting.)
Another side note - and maybe a bit random and SUICIDAL... but I'm going to do level three of the 30 day shred today. Josh and I watched it and it didn't seem that bad. It reminded me a lot of p90x and since I've already done that, I think I'll be able to handle it okay. I know that it'll be hard, but it's seriously do-able. Oh, and yes, Josh watched me work out last night for the first time ever. It was awkward and really funny actually. He said he was proud of me! And I felt really good that I made him feel that way about myself. :)
