Friday morning Josh took Wyatt out to breakfast at Denny's. It was so cute hearing about how he wanted to take him there the night before. When he told me, I thought it was pretty random but very sweet. The plan was to take Wyatt to Denny's, then go to the comic book store, and then to check out guns at a very convient gun store that is right alongside the comic book store (JOY).
One of the hardest things I had to come to realize when it came to parenting our son was that Josh and I are going to have different "ways". While when it comes to the bigger issues, we do have a common ground- all those "little" things that don't matter we definitely do differently. For instance, Josh has a totally different nap/bedtime routine than me! And it's okay because it teaches Wyatt that Dad will do things differently than Mom, and it'll make Wyatt overall more well rounded.
So when Josh told me he wanted to take Wyatt to Denny's/Comic book store/GUN STORE (OH GOD), I thought it was awesome (I mean, who wouldn't?). This is just the beginning of their adventures together.
And like any photography crazed mother, I told Josh to take LOTS of pictures. So I stole his cell phone pics.
