The show was everything I thought it would be. We were sitting in row H so we actually got to see quite a bit from where we were. Of course it'd be awesome to be even closer to the stage, but I was pretty happy with our spot. We sat for about 20-30 minutes before the show started, and then BAM! The lights went out and the stage lit up and everything started just like the show normally does. The beginning video/song played on the screen and it was like we were watching YGG at home... and then a door opens and DJ Lance comes flying out! Guys, my eyes welled up with tears and my husband was so embarrassed! But I don't care! I was looking at Wyatt and realizing that his world was being rocked. This shit is real?!? I know that's what he was probably thinking. Man, it was freaking cool.
I'm sorry for no good camera pictures. YGG was pretty strict about their camera policy. No pictures! But I of course snuck some with my iPhone. How could I not? You should of seen the camera nazi ushers running around screaming at people to stop taking pics. Yeah right.
(wyatt's ygg outfit- shirt by JILL!)
(waiting for everyone to get there so we can start the show!)
(staring up at all the crazy confetti flying in the air!)
(loofa doing her thang)
(snow fell from the ceiling as we sang a song about toodee's favorite season- WINTER!)
(making friends at intermission. this is when all the kids started throwing temper tantrums.)
(the gang singing about fall - see the leaves falling?)
(i put make up on for DJ Lance)
My favorite highlights was probably seeing Biz Markie and most definitely seeing Muno sing, I LIKE BUGS! Also, interesting side note, DJ Lance has a very serious lisp going on. I guess they edit it out of the shows? The musical guest was this band called Koo Koo Kangaroo and I thought they were pretty cool. They sang a song called "Awesome Rainbows" and I found myself singing it all day. I'm lame!
I did take pictures of Wyatt out in the lobby in front of the cardboard cut outs though. And I got to use my good camera for that, so that's cool. But these aren't the best because we had to wait in a long line just to get a picture of him in front of them. And I could feel the mom's breathing down my neck, so we sorta had a plan of action. Just stick him down really quick and then start clicking away. So this is what we got- but better than nothing!
Anyway, our YGG experience in Norfolk, Virginia was pretty awesome and I loved every minute of it. I will DEFINITELY go again with Wyatt the next time they're around whatever town I'm living in at the time. Super fun!
