A couple of days ago I took a trip to the Arboretum outside of L.A. with my close friend Julie and her family. It was a nice day and here are some quick shots from the day. I'm so rusty with my camera and was really nervous about taking their pictures. These aren't awesome, but whatever, it is what it is. I really want to start taking more pictures again and re-learn my camera. My iPhone has made me so lazy it's ridiculous!
Speaking of my iPhone, I of course took some pictures with it while I was there. I'm actually more impressed with my instagram photos than these dslr shots. Ah, oh well.
But anyway, the Arboretum was interesting. I can't help but think practically about it. My very first impression was that I could see all of these plants outside of a nice mall or something. I might be the most realist person ever.... a bit of a drag. So, if you want to pay 8 dollars to see the name of plants in latin, check out L.A. County's Arboretum. I will say it's a pretty place and picturesque. But make sure to go on an overcast day if you don't want your pictures super blown out. There's actually very little shade anywhere.
Oh, and if anyone has any awesome CHEAP suggestions of things to do around L.A. county, let me know! We're always looking for fun things to do that doesn't kill us. :)
