Stretch Your Buck Guacamole recipe!
So, I have been eating guacamole EVERY DAY. Yes, I am fat. I just love it so much and I pretty much crave it every waking moment. But, avocados are expensive! Well, they're expensive everywhere else but California it seems like. Being the east coaster that I am, I remember having to pay ridiculous prices for avocados. I'm happy that avocados are so accessible here in California, but that doesn't mean that I don't want the biggest bang for my buck.
Here's my Stretch Your Buck Guacamole recipe (it's actually Josh's grandmother's recipe, so you can thank her!)
What you need:
A couple tablespoons of cottage cheese or more or less to taste. (YES! COTTAGE CHEESE! TRUST ME!)
1 half teaspoon of minced garlic (or less, I happen to LOVE garlic). I suppose you could use garlic powder.
salt and pepper to taste
A couple squeezes of lime juice.
If you like to add salsa to your guacamole, even better. You'll stretch your guacamole even more.
Throw the above ingredients altogether. This will almost double your normal Guacamole dip. The cottage cheese will make your Guacamole creamy and take on the all the flavors. And no, it's not healthier, but it's definitely DELICIOUS.
CHEATER CHEATER TIP:
Use Wholly Guacamole and add a couple tablespoons of cottage cheese, garlic, and salsa and watch your dollar stretch right before your very eyes!
