Pinterest is an awesome way to drive traffic. I receive the MOST traffic from Pinterest, as I'm sure a lot of other bloggers do as well. It's such a great site for those that want to share what they're doing on the internet. But what's the best TIME to pin?
It's important to know when people are online. I don't know about you, but when I'm on my Pinterest account there are hundreds of pins posted at a time! I usually browse through and check out what everyone is pinning, but sometimes I can't get through them all. That's why it's important to pin during those peak times when we're all online. I'll more likely see a pin if it's done during those times.
If you want to pin during the day, make sure to do it between 2-4pm EST. If you want to post in the evenings, do it around 8pm - 1am EST. (all information gathered by a study by Pinerly)
The most repinned things are:
-Pins with a clear call to action get 80% increase in engagement. Make sure you're titling your pins well. (Skip the, "this is awesome" and go more with, "IROCKSOWHAT'S Chai Tea Cookies - only 74 calories".
-Tutorials, guides, DIYs, and recipes see a 42% higher click through rate. Pinterest peeps love a good DIY. I think this is where bloggers come in. We're full of this stuff.
-And thirdly, pins related to trending topics (don't know what's trending, check on twitter) see a 94 percent click through rate.
