So we have randomly decided to give potty training a bit of a go (pun intended). Honestly, I don't really know what I'm doing. I just bought some underwear and put it on Wyatt and am hoping for the best. I ask him if he's gotta "pee on the potty" like it's my JOB. And he's been peeing... but I'm just so nervous that he's not gonna care and just go pee everywhere.
My plan of action is to not have ANY expectations, and to let him just hang out in his underwear when we're home. He'll be wearing diapers out of the house and at night. So yep, that's it. I have no idea how long this will take and what will actually happen, but for the past 4-5 hours he's been pretty good.
I also can't seem to find any real motivator for him. I'm all about possibly bribing him to use the potty, and in the past there has been nothing of real interest. So I've just been doing out of control happy freak out exclamations every time he does ANYTHING in the toilet. I think that's been helping. But man, I can't help but think that a bribe would really set him over the edge
of the toilet seat.
Potty training advice is much appreciated here.
