How was Wyatt unplanned? You and Josh were married at 18 and you gave birth at 23. I just feel like 5 years sexually active with no accidents you would have had a form of birth control down. Not being rude, honestly curious. :)
>>I actually lost my birth control pills and figured that since my husband was leaving in a week (for deployment) it'd be fine since I wouldn't be getting it on with anyone else. Whelp, I got pregnant during the last week he was in the states... and yep, that's it. I was actually pretty shocked even though obviously if you don't take birth control you'll probably be pregnant... but whatever, I was still shocked.
Has anyone asked you any creepy questions? If so, what's the creepiest question you've received?
>>Probably the question before this one was the creepiest. :/
What religion are you?
>>I'm a christian.
Have you ever traveled outside of the U.S.?
What do you guys cook for dinner? As in, who does the cooking? And what does Wyatt eat or does not eat?
>>Food is so random here. Everyone has their own diet apparently. Josh eats crappy junk, I try to avoid crappy junk (but it's so hard), and Wyatt eats random fruits and crackers (mostly)(his diet kinda sucks too but I pump him with as much of the good foods he'll eat).
Were you a stay at home mom or do you have a job? If the former, do you plan to work once Wyatt is a bit older? What sort of job would be ideal for you? What's your degree in, etc.?
>>I am a SAHM and I'm actually applying for work. Anywhere really. I even applied at Starbucks... but I'm getting no call backs. I used to work for the bank and really enjoyed that, but for some reason I just can't seem to get hired.
How did you choose Wyatt's name?
Hi Jess, I've been reading your blog forever and really enjoy it. Forgive me if this sounds like a job interview question - but where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
>>I don't know! I guess Wyatt would be in school and I'd be working, Josh would be close to done with school if not already working... and that's about it!
What part of Virginia are you from? And what is better, west coast or east coast?
>>I'm not from Virginia but we lived there for a few years while Josh was in the Air Force. I lived in Hampton Roads. I'm not sure what I'd say is better... both sides of the country have it's ups and downs.
You mentioned that Josh was medically retired from the Air Force. Would you mind explaining why if you haven't talked about it in a blog already?
>>A lot of crappy stuff happened in the desert and he's done his duty. I don't talk about it too much out of respect for him.
I really wish you would think more about the way you word things regarding your weight issues. Compared to many of us, your'e enviably thin. Every time you say your body is "gross", you insult those of us who you must of course see as being even grosser.
>>I just want to say that I'm sorry and that I didn't mean to offend anyone when I talk about my personal body issues. I don't see people who are bigger than me to be "grosser". For me, my weight loss is my own personal issue. I have friends in many sizes, bigger and smaller than me, who are trying to better themselves and I understand that it's not judgement against me because they want to change themselves.
What is Josh going to study come January?
Since you're both staying home with Wyatt, what is your daily routine like? -Like a day in the life.
>>Pretty boring actually. Josh and I rotate waking up with Wyatt, but most days our kid sleeps in till 9:30ish, so we're both up. The day consists of hanging out at home, eating, watching cartoons, going to parks, or running errands. We're not very exciting.
If you could meet anyone famous, who would it be and why?
>>Maybe Robert Downey Jr.? I think he's hilarious.
What do the gun tats mean? Also, does Wyatt still nap? What is his bedtime, nap schedule?
>>Ugghhh... they mean that I was 18 and very stupid. Wyatt does NOT nap anymore. And his bedtime is around 9:30-10.
Please move to AZ :)
>>Quite possibly next year!
