Squeezing into some old jeans

Yesterday was a pretty monumental day. Like, so monumental that I immediately had to take an instagram selfie (mirror shot of course) and post it all over the world. I got into a pair of jeans that were once IMPOSSIBLE to get on. To be honest, I probably shouldn't have worn them. Just because I could get them on didn't mean that they actually FIT, but whatever. I could get them on and I was going to WEAR THEM. For so long these jeans wouldn't even get over my thigh. Yesterday morning I thought I'd try and go for it, just to see if maybe I'd have lost enough weight to wear any of my old clothes. I was feeling lighter (you know that feeling... you just finally ***feel*** it) and BAM, I got those suckers on.

I can't even begin to tell you how much of a better outlook on the day life I had after I got into those jeans. I just felt like things were GOOD again and I saw myself so differently, physically and emotionally. For me, that's all it takes. Just getting into a pair of jeans that were once so impossible a few months before.

Medifast is going great for me. I really have just embraced it and am really seeing changes. I have to admit I'm not totally strict about everything, and I "taste" things... a few times a day (oops), but for the most part I'm doing it, and doing it, and doing it well. I like feeling like I'm not in a rush this time. With all of my weight loss endeavors, I always feel anxious to get to the finish line, and then I fail because I'm impatient. But this time it's different. I know things are going to happen as they happen and I'm just tackling small goals. Medifast is literally retraining my old way of thinking into this new, healthier way. No rushing, no stressing, no obsessiveness - because I have to be honest, I am those things. I cannot say it enough, Medifast takes away the over thinking that often comes along with diets (tracking, points, etc.) (and not that there is anything wrong with that, I will eventually have to come off Medifast and will be tracking, but at least I'll be in a better mental place).

I've been getting emails about Medifast and what I think of it. I tell people that there are foods you won't like, but there are foods that you will. I happen to like the bars, bagged snacky things, and the shakes- so those are foods I stick with. They have a ton of flavors and varieties even within the foods that I like that I don't feel bored. I'm eating a "lean and green" meal at night that I customize and make whatever I want. I've made spaghetti squash with ground turkey meat sauce and have been pretty much eating that all week. I don't feel like I'm starving and I don't feel deprived. I just don't really have anything bad to say. Everything is just going THAT good.
