I need to take a moment to gush about my kid for a bit. He's growing like a weed. I can't get over how much he's changed in the last few weeks. His communication is insane, he's doing summersaults and head stands, and I love seeing his imagination at work. It's crazy to think how much he's changed from 6-7 months ago when he was barely saying more than 20 words. I guess he was just a late bloomer in regards to his communication, but we're all caught up now.
I honestly wasn't sure what we were going to do if Wyatt didn't start talking. I was looking into speech therapy (kinda) but just kept putting it off because I wondered if just getting Wyatt around more kids would help. Turns out that moving to California and Wyatt being thrown in with a ton of new people and kids really just kicked his speech into hyperdrive. That was all it took for him. I realize that this isn't always the case.
Now I'm knee deep in, "THAT'S NOT FAIR" and "MOM MAKE ME PANCAKES" and whatever else he decides to tell me. I'm told jokes and then he (unnecessarily) cracks up (let's face it, the jokes aren't really that funny- but I pretend to laugh). It's just crazy being out of the baby stage and moving onto this life of kid-dom. I honestly love it and tell my husband at least once a day how happy I am for us to have a KID.
Also, I'd like to say how happy I am that we totally dominated potty training (even at night too). FREE AT LAST.
