Someone straight up dug up some of my succulents out of my planter on my patio. And by someone I mean my upstairs neighbor. Well, not technically my direct upstairs neighbor, but the upstairs neighbor to the left. How do I know this? Well, they went ahead and planted the same succulents together in a pot and stuck it out on their patio ledge. They also went ahead and stole some of my pathetically painted wannabe hipster rocks.
Every morning I get up and kill all the spiderwebs that are re-webbed every night, but when I walked upon my planter I noticed that some of my plants were DUG UP.
This is a picture of what my succulent garden looked like a several months ago. I actually planted a few more plants that aren't seen here... and of course were stolen.
To say I'm upset is an understatement. They left dirt all over my patio and managed to cover the rest of my remaining plants in dirt as well. I honestly do not understand WHY anyone would steal succulents in a state that is completely covered in them. You can't go anywhere without seeing them growing wild. And they're sold pretty cheap as well. I'm assuming they didn't just steal the whole planter because it's insanely heavy. I can barely get a few steps carrying that thing. I mean, it's HEAVY.
I spent my day completely ranting and raving to everyone. I don't think I will be confronting my neighbor, would you? I've been getting comments from people saying they would, but I just can't help but think it would be really awkward and... I don't know. I'm a wuss. The whole thing was pretty much crazytown to me and I don't really know how to handle crazy people. Maybe I'll compliment them on their beautiful succulent arrangement? Honestly, I don't think I've even ever seen my upstairs to the left neighbors before! Why is the world so weird?!
Do you have any crazy stories like this? Where someone stole from you in a weird way? This is probably the craziest thing I've ever encountered.
