Wyatt's first short hair cut.
So we finally got Wyatt's hair cut over the weekend. I felt totally fine and at peace with everything. He was excited about it and was part of the hair style picking process, so that of course helped knowing this was something that HE wanted. Cutting Wyatt's hair has always been a sensitive issue for me. I know I created this weird issue and it was totally unnecessary, but it was there nonetheless and I had to get over it (even if it took me 4.5 years). Wyatt wanted "high" hair which means he wanted a mohawk. We looked at pictures with little boys with faux hawks and he was so stoked.
I mohwaked his hair for him when we got home and I honestly couldn't believe the excitement on his face. He thought he looked awesome and kept going to the mirror to look and said a few, "OH YEAH!!!'s". I think it's adorable that Wyatt is proud of his look and that he picked this out all by himself (despite it being an obvious choice for a four year old boy - ha!).
Of course there is a time and a place for a mohawk and so we picked a hair cut that looks good without one, too. I have a feeling I'll be giving in to his mohawk requests though. :)
